RULES & REGULATIONS

FILLING OUT LINEUPS

Full Slate reserves the right to reject lineups in part or total

that do not fully comply with roster regulations.

-> Managers are required to carry a minimum of 6 SP's, 6 RP's and 6 OF's (or 5 OF's with a DH-only player) on your active roster; with a maximum of 9 active of each. Failure to adhere to these requirements may result in the loss and/or alteration of transactions, including Free Agent claims.

-> Always enter the player's last name FIRST. First names or initials (if necessary) should be placed AFTER the last name!

-> The section labeled "DH-Only & Reserves" is for players who are not eligible to play a position in the field (e.g. Travis Hafner) or, for players who have the multi-position eligibility of DH, as well as reserve infielders. Do not list outfielders or pitchers here!

-> Make sure you use the correct code for the proper move. (e.g. Moves to and from the Minor League Roster are OP(option) and RE(recall) and moves to and from the Inactive Reserve are DE(deactivate) and AC(activate). Do not reverse them! When moving a player retroactively on the Inactive Reserve - adding weeks - use only the transaction code MO(move).

-> Document every Player Transaction! The label "Trns" stands for "Transaction". On this line you are required to enter the proper 2-letter code indicating the type of transaction that is being performed on that player. Failure to do so may result in that transaction being "skipped" during data entry.

-> Do not take "shortcuts" when filling out the Player Transaction section! Unless we see these documentations as we perform the transactions phase of processing we will assume that you are not requesting a claim and pass your lineup on to lineup entry! A reminder is now posted above the Waiver Claim boxes on the back of the new lineups. And, do not alter the assignments of the Waiver Claim boxes. Use them as directed!

-> When requesting a player not shown on the Free Agent list, you must completely identify him using his full name and MLB team, or he will be passed to your next alternate!

-> The Inactive Reserve. A player may not be optioned from the Inactive Reserve to the Minor League System until fulfilling his commitment.

-> Never use red ink to fill out lineups! Erase or "white-out" all errors, do not scribble them out! In order to avoid mistakes, be sure to list all players on your 40-man roster on every lineup!

WAIVER CLAIM PROCESS: Those players who are not on any team's major or minor league rosters are considered free agents.  Free Agents are available to be claimed on a weekly basis through the waiver claim process.

After the conclusion of the First-Year Player & ReStocking drafts, teams are at the 40-man limit (32-man active roster, 3-man Inactive reserve and 5-man minor league roster).

Two free agents may be claimed per week - provided roster space has been cleared - and are awarded to teams in inverse order of the previous week's standings.  Both claims are awarded together.

A player may NOT be claimed in the same week he is released.

EXCEPTIONS:

 - Week 1: (2) claims per team, awarded round-by-round in Restocking draft order

 - Week 2-26: (2) claims per team, awarded team-by-team, last place to first place

TRADING OF CLAIMS:

 - Claims may not be traded prior to Week 3, and, on or after Week 21.

 - Trading future week's claims are prohibited.

 - Acquired claims will be awarded as supplemental picks after the standard process has been completed - in other words, after the team-by-team / <A> and <B> picks have been assigned.  They will not be awarded in the trading team's claim slot.

BASEBALL'S AMATUER DRAFT:  With the initiation of the First Year Player Draft, all "amateur" players are now OFF LIMITS, and cannot be claimed as Free Agents during the second-half of the regular season.

Access to all amateur players - along with those players who are signed during MLB's J-2 draft - will be granted during the 3-Round First Year Player Draft held in January.

______________________________________________________________________________________

MINOR LEAGUE SYSTEM ELIGIBILITY:  In order to be eligible for placement on a Minor League roster, a player must either be a "rookie" or have an Injury Exemption.  Rookie hitters may not have more than 130 career AB's and pitchers more than 50 IP's prior to the start of the current season.  When attempting to claim a minor league player who is not on the Free Agent list, you are required to identify him completely or he will be passed over to an alternate.

RULE CHANGE:   Prior the 2023 season, a team was required to carry 6 players listed as OFs on their active roster, or 5 if they listed a player with a DH position eligibility (listed under DH-only & Reserves.)

That rule has been changed to lower the requirement to 5 players listed as OFs as long as there is also 1 IF reserve listed as a DH for the week (cannot be used at any position).  The reserve does not need to have the position eligibility of DH, however, he will forfeit his eligibility to be used as a reserve IF for that week-of-play.

Remember... only a player with the position eligibility of DH - as listed as a DH - may be assigned specific games.

E-MAILING LINEUPS:  These lineups must be sent prior to the start of any Monday game.  Lineups E-mailed after the start of any Monday game will be moved to the end of the waiver claim process with a 1st warning.  Subsequent "late" lineups will not be accepted.
